Akademisk Korforening is the official mixed choir of UiO. The choir was founded in 1930. Gjermund Bjørklund has been our conductor since 2004. We have c. 60 active members. Many are students, former students or employees at the UiO, from c. 20 y and up. Repertoire ranges from large oratorios with soloists and orchestra to a cappella, folk music, madrigals and more. Ability to read sheet music and prior experience in singing/choir is necessary. Rehearsals: Tuesdays 18.30-21.00 at Oslo Katedralskole.
