The organization Amatøren is an organization of volunteers that run the student house Amatøren. The name Amatøren was originally taken from the novel "The amateur" by Lars Saabye Christensen.

Our activities
The ORGANIZATION AMATØREN aims to be a cultural center for students at SiO student villages. The student house AMATØREN will provide an arena for social and cultural activities, as well as working for the well-being of residents of the above mentioned student villages. Amatøren has therefore an international atmosphere. The house is run voluntarily by students through the Organization Amatøren. The organization Amatøren is a non-governmental, non-religious, non-commercial and non-profit organization. That means that all profits derived from the Organisation AMATØREN goes back to the organization.
