The Student Council at NGI represents the coaching and therapy students at NGI and is the highest level for the student democracy at NGI. The Student Council at NGI facilitates academically and socially related events for the students at NGI.

Our activities
The Student Council at the Norwegian Gestalt Institute (NGI) is the student body organization for therapy and coaching students at NGI, of which all students are members.On Teams, where you will find your own classroom, as a student at NGI you will also find the Student Forum with information from the Student Council at NGI. In addition, all student representatives have access to separate pages for the daily work of the Student Council at NGI.
Each class in Gestalt Therapy and Gestalt Coaching at NGI elects its student representatives (permanent and deputy) who sit on the Student Council together with the student representatives in committees, council and board at NGI who are elected by the Student Council. The Student Council elects a working committee (AU - Norwegian abbriviation) that constitutes the leadership of the Student Council at NGI.
Students can both directly and through their student representatives in their own class ask the Student Council to raise issues for consideration. The Student Council at NGI facilitates academic and social events and ensures that the study gatherings that students have throughout their studies become a social meeting hub.
The Student Council is the hearing body for matters concerning students, cf. the Universities and Colleges Act § 10-11. The student representatives at the Learning Environment Committee, the Academic Council and the College Board at NGI can therefore demand that matters be sent for hearing to the Student Council. The Student Council and the AU of the Student Council can request the same from NGI.
The AU of the Student Council is also the link between the management and administration at NGI and participates in dialogue meetings with the management at NGI.
