Use the event calendar

Will your association have events during the semester that you want to promote? Then you should add them to the event calendar – here we show you how.

The event calendar is easy to use, whether you are looking to find something to attend, or you want to post events for your association.

We encourage you to use the calendar for open events such as matches, concerts, debates, parties and the like. You can also use it for events that are “for members only”, but then this must be clearly marked. That way, it will be easy for students to see what they can actually attend, and hopefully you will get more people to your events too.

Step 1: Log in
Log in to your My Page user. Contact persons for associations have access to the association's page here. You need to create a profile and then be added with that email adress by the associations contactpeople or SiO Associations.

Step 2: Create event
Once you are logged in, click on your association. You will then be taken to their landing page. At the top under the Association's name you will find the “Events” button. Then click on the “Create event” button.

Step 3: Choose eventtype
Here you have come to the first choice. Do you want to post an event that will only happen once, or a series of recurring events? Click on what you want

Step 4: Fill in
Fill in the information and upload a suitable event image. Remember to choose whether the event is digital or physical and whether it is open to everyone or only to members. At the bottom of the form you can add an external link, e.g. to a registration form, ticket purchase or live broadcast. Also remember to give the button the correct text.

Step 5: Create event

Press “Create event”. You will now receive a receipt with information that the event has been created. If you press the “View created event” button, you will be taken to the event page. Here you can read over the information and see that everything is correct.


Are you not the contact person for your association?

Are you not the contact person for the association but want to post events? First you must create a user on the website, then the association's contact persons will be able to add you. If the association does not have any active contact persons, you can contact us at SiO Associations so that we can help you.
