Here are all the events ChessMet has planned for the autumn of 2026. Additional events may be added later. We will not always be in the studenthall of P52, details regarding the time and location of each event will be posted on our Facebook page "SjakkMet" 2–10 days in advance, we recommend following us there. We serve drinks and refreshments (such as snacks, cake, or pizza) at all our events, if pizza is being served, we will announce it on Facebook.

Game nights are casual events where you can arrive whenever you like and play against whomever you choose, feel free to bring friends or meet new people. You are also free to leave whenever you wish. The main purpose of these nights is to provide a social gathering spot where you can also play chess. You can also learn the game or get tips from board members if you are interested.

The tournament spans four evenings where you accumulate points: 1 point for a loss, 2 for a draw, and 3 for a win. We use chess clocks to keep the pace moving; each player gets 10 minutes plus a 5-second increment per move. Three games are played each evening—making for 12 games in total, so even if you lose every match, you still earn 12 points simply by participating. After the final round, various prizes are awarded, including prizes for the top three players, the best female player, the best unrated player, and often others.

The season-ending event is similar to a regular game night but often features extra activities like quizzes, other board games, or similar pastimes. We usually serve additional food and drinks and award prizes on this occasion.
