About the event
Oliver Lovrenski made his debut with the novel Da vi var yngre in 2023. This is the book in a stage version directed by Aksel Hennie and starring Serhat Yildirim.
A collective body of critics praised Da vi var yngre when the book was released in 2023. Only 19 years old, Oliver Lovrenski gave a description of Oslo and a youth environment that many had not known before. Lovrenski was described as a kind of speedy Ivar Aasen, who collected and played with street language.
Da vi var yngre is a raw story from street life in Grønland, where young people from the TikTok generation make a quick buck by selling drugs.
