About the event
As tradition dictates, the Norwegian Student Choral Society invites you to a magnificent May 17th concert in the heart of Oslo. We will perform a selection of the finest pieces from the national romantic repertoire, and we hope you will take part in this wonderful tradition at Universitetsplassen.
The Norwegian Student Choral Society is one of the leading male choirs in the Nordic region and is Norway’s oldest public choir with continuous activity. The choir has premiered a number of well‑known works at Universitetsplassen, including “Ja, vi elsker dette landet” in 1864. Since then, the choir has held a concert at the same location every May 17th, with the exception of the war years.
We hope you will join us in celebrating Norway’s Constitution Day — we promise you a grand musical experience!
