Panel discussion: A circular economy without growth?

Green office

Oslo, Scene HumSam, Georg Sverdrups Hus

About the event

Researchers, politicians, and civil society all agree that we need to reduce our material consumption. But do they agree on how this should be done?

On September 23, the Green Office, in collaboration with Spire, is hosting breakfast and a panel discussion at the HumSam Library, where we will explore questions including:

Is the circular economy the solution, or do we also need development without economic growth?

Join us for breakfast and a cup of coffee, and learn more about the government's work on the circular economy, researchers' views on a society with lower consumption and on material recycling, and the environmental movement's ideas about what the transition to a new economic system could look like.

The panelists are:

Camilla Skjelsbæk Gramstad – Head of the government's task force for the Circular Economy Mission
Thea Birgitte Erfjord – Head of the environmental organization Spire
Kim Rainer Mattson – Researcher at CICERO, specializing in waste systems
Maria Bårdsen Hesjedal – Researcher at NTNU and participant in the Post Consumption Citizenship project
