The program aims to highlight new and culturally rich music.
Each session is a thematic sonic journey, guest-curated by young artists, producers, and music lovers who invite the audience into their worlds. The experience is a low-threshold space for discovering new music, being present, and sharing the experience of deep listening.
The first edition of Young Sound invites audiences into the world of EDEL, an indie soul duo consisting of Malin Stokka and Vera Ottesen. EDEL is a soul duo from Stavanger, Norway. Through powerful vocal harmonies and a distinctive musical chemistry, they convey empowerment in a way that feels refreshingly un-Norwegian. EDEL's sound is warm, organic, and driven by vocals. Their live performances are both stripped-back and powerful, leaving a lasting impression long after the final note has faded.
Since the release of their debut album SAMBUCUS in spring 2025, the duo has toured Norway with nothing more than an acoustic guitar, earning critical acclaim both on stage and on record. Norwegian newspaper Dagsavisen has described them as among the country's most accomplished vocalists and predicts that EDEL will be one of Norway's most promising emerging acts.
