What do you win?
The winner of Association of the Year receives both honor, glory and a cash prize!
At OsloMet, 20,000 kroner is awarded to one association, while at UiO prizes are awarded to first, second and third place. The associations that reach the top will receive prizes of 10,000, 6,000 and 4,000 kroner.
How does the process work
From May 12 to June 7 at 11:59 p.m., you can nominate associations that deserve the Association of the Year award. You nominate by filling out a form that will be made available during the time period.
It is a good idea to write in detail so that the jury gets a good understanding of what you have achieved.
A jury will then meet and review all the nominations, and select three finalists. These will be announced on Association Day, where the winner will also be chosen. They will receive a diploma, flowers and a large check.
Who can be nominated and who can nominate?
All individuals and associations can nominate associations for the award, and they are allowed to nominate themselves. Associations that are nominated must have done outstanding work in the previous academic year, i.e. autumn 2025 and spring 2026.
The jury emphasizes the following:
- The activity must be student-led and preferably initiated by students.
- The activity must engage students in activity in the student community at the university, or engage students at the university in efforts towards target groups outside the university.
- The activity must help to highlight that it is a voluntary student activity at the university.
- The activity must benefit fellow students.
- The activity must be of high quality and be characterized by neatness and orderliness in the formal conditions.
- The activity must be involving.
- The activity must be based on voluntary, unpaid effort.
- The activity will contribute to developing students' knowledge and practical skills.
- The activity will stimulate students' professional development and strengthen the integration of academics and leisure.
- The association works extra hard to welcome and care for its members.
