FREE concert at Samfunnet Bislet w/ Astoria!

About the event

Samfunnet Bislet will be arranging a free concert with the duo Astoria on Friday 13th of November! The concert starts at 21:00 and our doors open at 19:00 as always on Fridays.

If you're a fan of Slowdive, Sigur Rós or Low Roar, then Astoria's music is definitely something for you!

Astoria is a Norwegian duo that mixes atmospheric post-rock, dream pop and electronic post-punk in a dynamic and emotionally direct soundscape. Their new EP “Colder Than Before” morphs gradually from quiet, atmospheric sections with fragile vocals, to explosive climaxes of distorted, yet melodic guitar layers and hard-hitting bass parts. Recorded over three years, the EP represents Astoria's evolution towards a more organic sound, with an emphasis on dynamics, contrast, and vulnerability.

Fragment, the lead single for Astoria's new EP Colder Than Before, releases on the 15th of July. The song is a reflection on the impact they have on the people they love,
and ultimately themselves. These themes are presented through a dynamic post-rock journey, starting with a quiet, naked guitar, and building into a massive,
wall-of-sound climax with an emotional intensity that will give you chills.
