From Soil to Ceremony: The Ecology of Japanese Tea

The Embassy of Japan and the Japanese Studies Student Association (UiO) invite to a lecture and demonstration of Japanese tea and the tea ceremony, presented by Oslo-based instructor Yasuko Oki and Furukawa Seicha, a renowned tea farm from Uji, Kyoto.

Furukawa Seicha is renowned for its traditional cultivation methods and hand-picked tea leaves. They will introduce the tea farm and share insights into their traditional approach to tea production.

The event is open for all and free of charge, but capacity is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. A lucky few members of the audience will be given the chance to participate in the ceremony, while tasting of hojicha is available for all.

The event will take place in Klimahuset in the Botanical Garden in Oslo.
